What we cover
Warrington Guide publishes practical information about local businesses, restaurants, shopping, leisure, events and essential services. We choose local references because they help readers understand the subject or find the right place — not to decorate an article with names.
Getting the geography right
We distinguish Warrington town centre from the wider Warrington Borough Council area. Stockton Heath, Lymm, Birchwood, Great Sankey, Culcheth and other localities each have their own character and service context. Liverpool, Manchester, Halton, neighbouring Cheshire authorities and Greater Manchester are regional connections, not Warrington neighbourhoods. We do not assign the identity of a neighbouring city to Warrington residents.
Sources and changing details
We aim to use reliable sources close to the subject, such as Warrington Borough Council, the relevant business, venue, event organiser, transport operator or public service. Business details, opening hours, prices, transport, event dates, availability and service areas can change. When a detail cannot be confirmed, we may leave it out or direct readers to check with the provider.
We treat population figures and other statistics as dated, geographically specific information. A figure for the whole borough is not automatically a figure for the town centre or an individual neighbourhood. We do not present future proposals as completed projects or infer that a business serves a particular area simply because it appears in a local article.
Independence and commercial relationships
Warrington Guide is an independent information and recommendations site. A listing is not automatically paid for or endorsed. If a page is sponsored or contains another commercial relationship, we will identify that relationship clearly. Commercial arrangements do not in themselves determine our editorial view.
Corrections and updates
If you spot an error, email [email protected] with the page address, the detail in question and, if possible, a reliable source. We review correction requests and update material errors where appropriate. Minor edits may be made without a separate note; for a substantial correction, we may add an editorial note to the page.
A request from a business or individual does not automatically require us to remove content. We consider accuracy, relevance, privacy, safety and the public interest. We do not publish private personal information or unverified allegations about individuals.
Scope and limitations
Our guides are selective, not a complete directory of every Warrington business, service, venue or event. Inclusion does not guarantee quality or availability, and absence does not imply criticism. Please confirm important details with the organisation concerned.
